Austin transportation company partners with IOTA

The official transportation company of Austin, Texas (ATX Transportation), has announced a partnership with blockchain project IOTA. The two parties have the intention to innovate mobility within the state capital of Texas, which has roughly 1 million citizens. Details about the partnership are not yet known.
IOTA is already making big steps in the automotive industry. Its blockchain project is being used at charging station for electric cars, and this week the company announced a partnership with Jaguar Land Rover. IOTA is also part of the Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative (MOBI), which counts companies like BMW, Ford, General Motors and Renault.
