Kucoin removing 10 coins
Cryptocurrency exchange Kucoin is removing 10 currencies from its platform. The Singaporean company decided to delist the currencies because they no longer meet the requirements. Deposits and trading for the ten currencies is no longer possible. Investors are able to remove their coins from the exchange till March 21st 2019.
The affected cryptocurrencies are:
- Jibrel Network (JNT)
- WePower (WPR)
- Modum (MOD)
- EthLend (LEND)
- STK (STK)
- Asch (XAS)
- Bread (BRD)
- BitClave (CAT)
- Mobius (MOBI)
Kucoin recently announced its Special Treatment Framework. This test exists to make sure all coins are measured by the same standards. There are minimum requirements regarding liquidity, development according to a roadmap, market conduct, security and project solvency. When a project fails one or more of these points, it risks being removed from the exchange.
Last month Kucoin completed a 20 million dollar investment round, led by IDG Capital, Matrix Partners and Neo Global Capital. The exchange is looking for option to expand its operation, growing its footprint across the Asia-Pacific region.
