TRON now has over 1 million accounts
Blockchain protocol TRON now has over 1 million user accounts. The company reached this milestone within six months after launching its own main network. The blockchain company wants to become the go-to blockchain system for developers working on decentralized applications (dApps).
The company has been praising its own performance in recent months. This time a spokesperson said that Tron adoption is a lot faster than Ethereum’s road towards 1 million addresses (6 months vs 18 months). Earlier CEO Justin Sun already said that Tron is 200 times faster than Ethereum, while the Tron network is also seeing more transaction activity at the moment.
There’s enough reason to comment on Tron’s focus on one million user accounts. One million user accounts doesn’t mean there are 1 million people using the Tron network. For example, the writer of this article has Tron addresses on two exchanges, on Tron Wallet and in social media application BitGuild. That makes four addresses for one person, which would suggest around 250 thousand people have one or more addresses on the Tron network.
Tron had a good financial boost this week. It grew from $0.016 to $0.021 or even a bit higher. However, many coins have seen a significant drop in the past 24 hours, often somewhere between 10–15 percent. Currently Tron’s TRX token is priced $0.019657.
Tron is very active in connecting with app developers. The company’s foundation launched a 100 million dollar fund for game developers in Novembr. This fund is called Tron Arcade, and got a 30 million dollar boost last week.
