Twitch.TV has added bitcoin and bitcoin cash once again as payment methods for its subscription and other services. The video streaming company, which is mostly but not exclusively popular among gamers, has reinstalled payment provider Bitpay on its website. However, the cryptocurrency payment option is still kinda hidden.

Even though Bitpay has been added as an accepted payment method for subscriptions, you still need to dig to find it. After clicking the subscribe button, users needs to select ‘more methods’, choose a subscription tier, click continue, and then click ‘show more methods’, before Bitpay is being shown as a Bitcoin logo.

It’s not the first time that Twitch added cryptocurrency payments after removing them. The streaming platform began accepting bitcoin in 2014, using payment network Xsolla. When Xsolla removed the option to pay with bitcoins, Twitch lost the option as well. In 2016 Twitch re-enabled crypto payments using Coinbase as their payment processor, and eventually switching to BitPay. Twitch removed BitPay as a payment option back in March 2019.
