Writing For Small Audiences Can Still Be Valuable

Don’t write about a niche for the money, but for the passion and the opportunities!

Look around on this platform and you will find a lot of articles about growing your audience and being a successful writer. Most of that content is about content creation, psychology or personal development. You can copy the concept, apply it to your own work and try to make it on Medium. However, that’s not what I do, because I want to write about a very niche topic that I’m very passionate about.

No matter whether you’re writing about the history of cinema, blockchain technology, or in-depth knitting tutorials, you won’t get a crazy amount of traffic here on Medium. However, I do want to point out that it’s still worth it to write about these topics. As it turns out, there’s an amazing benefit to writing for a very particular niche.

First of all, you’re actually creating content you’re passionate about yourself. And secondly you’re tailoring to an audience with a very specific need.
